The listing on your report has a process. We run it.

Start with a full read of the credit record. Then we match what we find — debt review, administration, judgment, default, prescribed account, paid-up arrears — to court, bureau, or creditor work.

Credit Legal Investments works listings on South African credit bureau reports. We analyse the file, then use the process that fits that listing. Available from Pretoria and Brits.

01

Rescission and clearance of a debt review order

For you if You are under debt review and the accounts are paid, or you are no longer over-indebted.

What we doApply to the Magistrate’s Court to rescind the debt review order once a clearance certificate is in place, or once you no longer meet the over-indebtedness test.

What that gets youYour name can come off debt review so the next application is not dead on arrival.

02

Rescission and clearance of an administration order

For you if An administration order is still on your credit report.

What we doContact the administrator, get the file, negotiate where needed, and launch the application in the magistrate’s court that granted the order.

What that gets youA path to have administration taken off the bureau so you are not still treated as under administration.

03

Remove paid-up adverse listings and judgments

For you if The debt is settled, or can be settled, but the judgment or adverse listing is still showing.

What we doSettle the debt if it is not yet paid, get a letter from the creditor, then apply for rescission in court — including on creditor consent — and appear where required.

What that gets youThe paid-up judgment or adverse listing can come off the profile before you apply again.

04

Payment arrangements

For you if You cannot meet the instalment the creditor wants, and legal action is a real risk.

What we doNegotiate a reduced instalment and more workable terms so you can keep paying.

What that gets youRoom on the monthly amount, the interest, or the timeline — depending on what the creditor accepts.

05

Update paid-up accounts

For you if The debt is paid but the bureau still shows arrears or a debt-review flag.

What we doLodge a query with the relevant credit bureaus and follow it through.

What that gets youOnce the bureaus are notified and the flag is updated, you can apply again. This typically takes about 21 business days after notification.

06

Improve your credit standing

For you if You want a cleaner file so you can qualify for a better rate — not a magic score.

What we doRemove or update what should not be there, then help you keep the file clean.

What that gets youA stronger application. A better record and a better rate can save tens of thousands of rand over a loan. We do not promise a score number.

07

Debt review removal

For you if You need the debt-review status cleared after debts are settled or the legal criteria are met.

What we doRun the clearance and rescission process with the bureaus and, where required, the court.

What that gets youThe flag that stops new credit can come off once the legal box is ticked.

08

Negotiation and restructuring

For you if The current terms are not payable, and you need a deal rather than a collapse into judgment.

What we doNegotiate interest, timelines, and balances where the creditor will engage.

What that gets youA repayment structure both sides can live with — often cheaper than letting the account run to judgment.

Not sure which service you need?

Most people do not arrive with the legal name.

They arrive with “the bank said no” or “I’m still under debt review.” That is enough. The analysis tells us which of the eight we are in.

Match the listing. Then start the process.
